Metro adopts five-year plan to bring back vanpools for commuters
The plan is a five-year roadmap to restart vanpooling in the Portland region, where 5 to 12 people share a van to ride to work. Metro will help promote a new state vanpool program run by the Oregon Department of Transportation and study who could run a lasting regional program later. The region has had no formal vanpool program since Metro ended its subsidies in 2012.

Metro adds money for two state road projects in Beaverton, Hillsboro and OR224
This updates the region's list of federally funded transportation projects so two Oregon Department of Transportation projects can move ahead. One adds curb ramps that meet disability access rules on OR8 in Beaverton and Hillsboro, and now also rebuilds sidewalk railroad crossings at SW 198th Ave. and SW 205th Ave. The other adds a construction phase to repave OR224 between SE 37th Ave and SE Rusk Road to fix cracks and ruts.
