- Document number
- 2026-342
- Introduced by
- Mayor Keith Wilson
- City department
- Housing Bureau
- Requested council date
- October 28, 2026
- Purpose and background
- This legislation is proposed to allow Home Forward to appoint a Gresham representative to a vacant seat on their Board of Commissioners, which requires Portland City Council approval by resolution, per ORS 456.095 and ORS 456.100. This seat was vacated by former appointee Teresa Carr and this appointment is to serve to the end of the previous incumbent's term.
- Financial and budgetary impacts
- Not applicable.
- Economic and real estate impacts
- Home Forward manages and develops much of the city of Portland's affordable housing, and if this seat is not filled it may have a negative impact on their decision-making abilities, which could delay projects.
- Community impacts and community involvement
- The nominee has been selected and approved by the City of Gresham in a separate process. The nominee and representatives from Home Forward will be available at Committee, and, as needed, at the full Council hearing.
- 100% renewable goal
- This action has no impact on the City's total or renewable energy use.
